Storyline

Will is feeling homesick, so Aunt Viv suggests that they fly in his old friend Ice Tray for a visit. Aunt Viv is better at dealing with his rough exterior then the rest of the family, until he lays eyes on Hilary and they start dating. Uncle Phil tries some psychology to drive them apart by smothering their relationship with acceptance and playing to Hilary's rebellious nature. It backfires as Phillip and Vivian flip out at the news that Hilary and Ice Tray are getting married. It turns out to be a joke, of course, a test to see how they react. Later Will accuses Aunt Viv of being a hypocrite, he defends Tray for helping him out when he was younger - and inevitably leading him to Bel Air. Tray offers to take Will back with him but he admits that Bel Air is where he belongs. He then offers to take Hilary back with him, but she's offended when he suggests that they fly coach. The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

Homeboy, Sweet Homeboy

The origin of Will Smith's fame and too many mentions from The Graham Norton Show got me to binge watch this series which I think has a potential to be a typical one-time-watch sitcom. The creators made the relations pretty much clear from the first frame now all one seek and wait for is their character development through this journey with hopefully no dips on content or humor. The relation between Will Smith and Tatyana Ali seems interesting (something to look forward especially when she grows up) and is definitely supposed to bring the laughs whilst with James Avery there is a soft spot hidden in there.

As often happens, the first season is good and demands attention from the viewers wanting them more of the family drama which writers better deliver if not all of it but some of it (its diplomatic to keep big guns for the future) and would be wise of them if they keep an open-end on some tracks to pick up swiftly on season 2.

Don Cheadle's appearance does lighten up the energy especially when Will introduces him to the family by pointing out their properties (its hilarious) and addition to that they did end it in a surprisingly good point with Will and Janet's conversation.
